Stunning Beaches

With pristine sands and clear turquoise waters there are a huge range of beaches to choose from in Sri Lanka. There are resort areas with a good range of activities, or quiet, undiscovered beaches without a footprint.

Water-based activities in Sri Lanka include snorkelling, scuba diving and surfing; game fishing; white water rafting, kayaking and canoeing.

The waters off Mirissa and Dondra Head, as well as Trincomalee on the east coast, are good for whale watching tours – the blue whale can be seen in the waters around Sri Lanka.
