Welcome to Maxwell Scott Travel where a passion for travel, different cultures and people – together with years of travelling experience – is reflected in the journeys and holidays we can create for you, to some very special destinations – India, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.
We have over 25 years of first-hand experience and in-depth knowledge of these beautiful and fascinating countries, which helps us to plan and design your holiday around you and your interests. We individually select destinations, hotels and experiences to suit your personal journey, and we look after every small detail – leading to unique and memorable experiences.
At Maxwell Scott Travel we spend time planning and perfecting your itinerary until you are completely happy with it. This includes chosen accommodation and special guides – which we think make a huge difference, and costs. We will also pass on our recommendations for restaurants and shopping, events and festivals, and some special places we know about.
Once you have confirmed your itinerary and cost, and are ready to book, we request a deposit.
We are always here for any questions you might have, and will continue to pass on any news and advice we think might be useful. You will have 24/7 assistance during your time away. Then, once you’re home again, we like to hear your stories and how you’ve got on – and to pass on feedback and thanks wherever it is due.
Our History
Maxwell Scott Travel was established in 1987 by Moyna Maxwell Scott when she was finally persuaded to put her exceptional organisational skills to the test and lead a tour to North India (including Kashmir) for some 24 people.
That tour was so successful that Moyna went on to organise many more tours, visiting both iconic and lesser known – but still stunning – places throughout India. With her Indian heritage (an Indian by birth, Moyna married an Englishman and settled in England in 1965) and her family and friendships within India, tours with Maxwell Scott Travel were never ordinary – visitors were introduced to this beautiful country and given amazing and memorable experiences. Curiosity and a love for travel meant that our portfolio developed to include Bhutan and Sri Lanka.
The family passion for travel now continues with Moyna’s daughter, Amanda (who was born in India) and her husband, Charlie Kay, who have both worked in India, and travelled extensively.
