Myanmar A beautiful country with gentle, friendly and engaging people. Burma

Myanmar is a fascinating land full of cultural traditions and incredible sights. From the shimmering Shwedagon Paya in Yangon to the thousands of Buddhist temples in Bagan; a riverboat expedition along the Irrawaddy to the unique leg rowers of Inle Lake; or hiking through the forests, fields and trails into Shan and Palaung villages, and the pristine sands and clear waters of Ngapali Beach, there is a sense of travelling back in time.

When to Go?

The best time to visit Myanmar is from November to April.

There are three different seasons in Myanmar:

  • September to February the daytime temperature is about 20-24°C with cool evenings.
  • March to May is hot  – about 30-35°C – but dry.
  • June to September is the rainy season with temperatures of 25-30°C.  Hotels at Ngapali Beach are closed during this time.

Our highlights were the visits to the Bagan temples and the trip on Inle Lake and finishing up on a beautiful beach at Ngapali.
